How Long Does the Implant Process Take?
Dental implant treatment happens in several steps over a few months. In general:
- We examine your mouth, bone, and gums, and plan your treatment.
- The implant (titanium screw) is placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic.
- The implant is left to heal and bond with the bone (this usually takes 3-6 months).
- After healing, we place the crown, bridge, or denture on top of the implant.
You are guided through every step, and we explain clearly what is happening and why.
