Gum Contouring
Gum contouring (gum reshaping) is a gentle cosmetic treatment that changes the shape of your gums to make your smile look more balanced.
At Rubi Smile in Antalya, we use gum contouring to:
- Reduce a “gummy smile”
- Fix uneven gum lines
- Make teeth look more in proportion with your face
Our goal is a clean, even gum line that suits your teeth, lips, and facial features.
How the Procedure Works
During gum contouring, the dentist:
- Numbs the area so you stay comfortable.
- Carefully reshapes the gum line with precise tools.
- Removes a small amount of extra gum tissue (if needed) to show more of your teeth.
If you have areas where the gum is too thin or receded, we may also suggest a small gum graft to improve symmetry and protect the teeth.
Most patients can return to normal daily life quickly, with only mild sensitivity for a short time.
